After we received pre-approval our agency was able to get an update for us on Maggie. Here is the information that the orphanage provided us with.
1. What name is *** *** Ling called and what does it mean? We usually call her "*** Ling"
2. What makes her happy? Because she has the legs issue, she usually stays inside the walker. So she is very happy if she has chance to walk alone by the wall. She also feels very happy when nannies play with her.
3. Does she enjoy talking and playing with the other children? Yes.
4. Does she have a special friend or caretaker?
She likes every child and every nanny in her class. There are 9 nannies in her class and they all adore her very much.
5. How is her health? Besides her leg issue, she is pretty healthy and strong.
6. Does she receive any treatment or therapy for her left leg and hip? She doesn't have any treatment so far. She can walk with holding something for a short time. Then She needs to take a break or sit down. She can't walk alone.
7. Can she follow directions and understand what is said to her? Yes, she is very smart.
8. Please describe *** Ling's personality. She is a very active child. She is also a happy child too. Usually she likes to be social with other children and play with them. But she also wants to play alone sometimes and she hates to be bothered when she does that.
We just think that she sounds precious. I can't wait to let her practice walking all she wants. I am so glad that she is adored by her nannies, but I will be thrilled to show her the love of a momma and daddy!
We are working with an organization in China to get an additional update. Maggie will be receiving her first ever birthday cake on Friday! We are prayerful that we will receive pictures of her with her cake. I would love to see more of her sweet face!
